Canadian Society for the Investigation of Child Abuse This Society was formed in response to a growing need for a coordinated, professional approach to child sexual abuse investigations. Major activities of the Society include training child sexual abuse investigators, and responding to the needs of abused children, particularly in the area of child witness court preparation. Child Welfare League of Canada (CWLC) The CWLC is dedicated to protecting and promoting the well being of Canada's children, particularly those who are at risk because of poverty, abuse and neglect. Children's Aid Society The Children's Aid Society is dedicated to protecting children and preventing child abuse and neglect throughout Canada. It provides out-of-home care for children and develops child abuse and neglect prevention programs. National Clearinghouse on Family Violence (NCFV) The NCFV is a national resource centre in Canada focusing on violence within the family and looking for new resources being used to address it. Professionals, front-line workers, researchers and community groups need to know what their colleagues and counterparts are doing across the country. By sharing the latest research findings and information on all aspects of prevention, protection and treatment, the Clearinghouse helps Canadian communities work toward the eventual elimination of all forms of family violence. Safe OnLine Outreach Project (SOLO) SOLO has been developed to address the emerging issue of sexual exploitation of youth on the Internet. Grounded in the United Nation's Convention on the Rights of the Child, SOLO's goal is to create educational material for professionals who serve children and youth and make them aware of the risks to young people on the Internet. SOLO aims to prevent sexual exploitation on the Internet by educating communities about potential dangers, educating service providers and police about intervention methods and educating policy makers on the risks and harms associated with sexual exploitation on the Internet. Therapeutic Child Protection Work This website assists those practicing or interested in therapeutic child safety and child protection work by researching and organising helpful and relevant information in an easy to find location and format. Included are the online Journal of Therapeutic Child Protection Work and a Professional Training Calendar. Victim-Assistance Online Victim-Assistance Online is an online information, research and networking resource for victim assistance specialists, professionals in related disciplines and all interested in the field of victimology. Although physically located and operating under the laws of Ontario, Canada, it aims to serve the international community.

American Humane Association The American Humane Association advocates for improved services to at risk children and vulnerable families. It is a nationwide association of child welfare professionals, public and private social service agencies, medical and mental health professionals, as well as educators, researchers, judicial and law enforcement professionals, and child advocates. (ASPAC) ASPAC is dedicated to: providing professional education which promotes effective, culturally sensitive, and interdisciplinary approaches to the identification, intervention, treatment, and prevention of child abuse and neglect; promoting research and guidelines to inform professional practice; educating the public about child abuse and neglect; and ensuring that America's public policy concerning child maltreatment is well informed and constructive. Center for Effective Discipline The Center for Effective Discipline is a non profit organisation which provides educational information to the public on the effects of corporal punishment of children and alternatives to its use. The Center is headquarters for and coordinates the National Coalition to Abolish Corporal Punishment in Schools and End Physical Punishment of Children. Child Abuse Prevention Network The Child Abuse Prevention Network is an initiative of the Family Life Development Center at Cornell University in the US. The network is dedicated to enhancing internet resources for the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Child Welfare League of America The Child Welfare League of America is the oldest and largest American non profit organisation developing and promoting policies and programs to protect children and strengthen families. Crimes Against Children Research Center (CCRC) Crimes against Children Research Center (CCRC) aims to combat crimes against children by providing high quality research and statistics to the public, policy makers, law enforcement personnel, and other child welfare practitioners. CCRC is concerned with research about the nature of crimes including child abduction, homicide, rape, assault, and physical and sexual abuse as well as their impact. Families and Schools Together (FAST) Families and Schools Together (FAST) is a group intervention program designed to build protective factors for children (4 to 12 years old) and empower parents to be the primary prevention agents for their own children. MINCAVA Electronic Clearinghouse The Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse (MINCAVA) Electronic Clearinghouse aims to provide a quick and easy access point to the extensive electronic resources on the topic of violence and abuse available online. National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome The National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome began in 1997, working to provide information to professionals and parents, alike. Information The National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information is an American national resource for professionals seeking information on the prevention, identification, and treatment of child abuse and neglect. This site includes online fact sheets, catalogues, specialised services, databases and directories. National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect The mission of the National Data Archive on Child Abuse and Neglect (NDACAN) is to facilitate the secondary analysis of research data relevant to the study of child abuse and neglect. By making data available to a larger number of researchers, NDACAN seeks to provide a relatively inexpensive and scientifically productive means for researchers to explore important issues in the child maltreatment field. National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center The National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center has been established as a central source of information on prevention and intervention programs, publications, research, and statistics on violence committed by and against children and adolescents. It provides resources for professionals, parents and young people. Save the Children Save the Children was founded in the United States in 1932 as a non profit child assistance organisation to make lasting positive change in the lives of children in need. Today Save the Children operates across the United States as well as in over 40 other countries in the developing world to help children and families improve their health, education and economic opportunities. Save the Children is a member of the International Save the Children Alliance, an association of 27 independent organisations that provide child oriented emergency response, development assistance and advocacy of children's rights in over 115 countries. Stop it Now! Stop it Now! is a non profit organisation founded on the belief and experience that individuals and society can challenge and change the way people act. Its mission is to educate adults about ways to stop sexual abuse and to increase public awareness of the trauma of child sexual abuse.
